Free 97 W are playful, nimble skis with a lot of stability for free touring. The lightweight 100% poplar core construction with proven, built-in Carbon Speed Stringers saves energy while climbing. A modern cut and newly developed rocker in the tip and rear end together with a balanced flex provide optimal properties for varied terrain; untouched loose snow, hard ice and steep couloirs. Even in demanding conditions or with a heavy backpack, they maintain full control at high speed and steep inclines. The slightly raised tip provides improved entry into the turn and easy floatation. Full Sidewalls, edges of impact-resistant ABS provide direct power transfer to the edges for best performance and stability on both soft and hard packed snow.

Poplar Core
Poplar in the full length of the ski provides optimal flex. The stiffness of the long poplar fibers complements Paulownia's light weight and density, providing precise control.
Carbon Speed Strings
Dynafit uses carbon fiber strands to dampen vibrations and it provides optimal rebound properties. The ski retains the forgiving qualities that are important in difficult terrain.
Full Sidewall
Impact-resistant ABS along the entire edge of the ski provides maximum absorption of the force. A construction principle that minimizes the use of material in the sidewall – lower height with increased width along the length of the ski, increased torsional stiffness and edge pressure. In advanced skiing and mountaineering, this means maximum precision in edge control.
Constant Characteristics
The interaction between the cut of the ski and the length of the rocker is constant regardless of length. It guarantees equal properties for every ski length.
