Off-piste skis are used for skiing that takes place outside marked and prepared slopes, pistes – hence the expression "offpiste" (after the English 'outside the ski slope'). Off-piste is therefore often associated with skiing in loose snow. It can also be forest skiing in a ski area, as it is still outside the marked run.

Off-piste skiing are skis that are a little wider to better suit the wonderful off-piste powder skiing.

Riding off-piste is the closest thing to surfing down the mountain and is an indescribable feeling to slide through untouched snow. You cannot compare on-piste skiing and off-piste skiing as they are completely different worlds. What characterizes off-piste is freedom, nature experience, fewer people and challenges in fresh snow.
