The Beast 108 is aimed at dedicated skiers looking for a competent ski with solid performance and stability combined with buoyancy on the way down. The model gets a major update for 2021 when, instead of an inverted span, they go back to a traditional span but with substantial rocker in the nose and tail.
Side cut, radius and dimensions are suitable for riding on both hard and soft surfaces and is extremely easy to turn despite its wide waist measurement. Solid wood core of ash and poplar with fiberglass laminate and UD Carbon. ABS sidewall along the entire ski and titanal at the binding attachment area. This combination provides excellent torsional stiffness and stability.
The Beast 108 has a supple ride with responsive and well-damped characteristics. With the Double Ellipse Rocker construction, the length of both the rocker profile and effective steel edge contact with the ground is varied depending on how much the skier edges the skis, which provides optimized control and easy-to-manage riding characteristics in off-piste conditions.
Combine with pre-cut Dynafit Speedskin Beast 108 to make optimal use of nose and rear attachment.
Specification
- SnowOFF topsheet (USP)
– Materials: Ash and Poplar core, Carbon-Glass Fiber, ABS, UD Carbon
- Weight: 1660 grams (181 cm)
Full Sidewall
Impact-resistant ABS along the entire edge of the ski provides maximum absorption of power. A design principle that minimizes the use of material in the side wall - lower height with increased width along the length of the ski, increased torsional rigidity and edge pressure. In advanced skiing and rock climbing, it means maximum precision in the edge control.
Ash Poplar Ride Core
Combining the high strength of ash with lightweight poplar provides a supple core with outstanding damping properties and rebound for low weight. It provides maximum power transfer to the edges and damping at high speeds.
UD Carbon
Unidirectional (UD) is carbon fiber with one-way stretch that is laid parallel without bonding across. The fibers gain greater strength when they are not interwoven.
Constant Characteristics
The interaction between the cut of the ski and the length of the rocker is constant regardless of length. It guarantees equal properties for each ski length.
Ride Tips
The tip of is constructed of carbon fiber, which provides a reduced amount of material, less vibration and dampening properties. The result is a tip with calm characteristics, especially in varying snow conditions with perfect precision in turns and cushioned impacts.
Double Ellipse Rocker
Two elliptical curves together give varying edge lengths for each ski length.
