Signes™ is a spherical ski helmet for alpine skiers looking for a comfortable low profile helmet that provides confidence and security. It is constructed with Giro's newly developed spherical technology integrated with MIPS® that provides comprehensive protection and performance. A modern hard shell construction that is durable and lightweight and meets CE EN1077 and A FIS RH13 specifications. As accessories, Signe's chin bar, holder for goggles and ear cushions are included, all of which are removable.

Spherical Technology
Sophisticated further development of the existing MIPS® System that protects the brain against the rotation that occurs in a crash. MIPS® can significantly increase safety and the documented effect is medically proven. In this design, two shells of Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) are used, of which the inner shell moves spherically and offers 10-15 mm relative movement distance.
MIPS® Multi-directional Impact Protection System
The helmet has an integrated MIPS® System that can significantly increase safety against the rotation that occurs in a crash. Rotational violence against the brain can cause the most serious brain damage. Mips can significantly increase safety and the documented effect is medically guaranteed. With MIPS®, the outer part and inner part can slide relative to each other, reduce rotation and counteract damage to the head and brain. Tests and studies show that MIPS® significantly reduces the force and reduces the risk of serious brain damage.
X-Static® Padding
X-Static® is a textile fiber made with a layer of pure silver that is permanently bonded to the fiber's surface. It is an antimicrobial fiber that is 100% natural and that counteracts odors in the lining and regulates the heat in the helmet.
