Compact avalanche kit containing an EVO5 transceiver, an ACCESS TS spade and a SPARK 240 probe.
—
The Evo5 is a compact transceiver with 50 meter search bandwidth. It is digital which makes it more effective at a rescue site and has 3 antennas that provide enhanced signal with increased precision when fine tuning.
When the device starts up, it performs an Auto-test, a diagnostic that verifies that all main functions are working properly. Group Check verifies that each member of the group has their transceiver in transmit mode. The function performs a search so that each group member is checked individually at a distance of one meter.
Interference management is an interference management that maximizes the device's performance during searches that are disturbed by electromagnetic interference. The technology automatically reduces the width of the search band and ignores all other frequencies to focus solely on the transceiver being tracked. The U-Turn Alarm function warns if the rescuer is heading in the wrong direction. When once a distressed person has been found, the marker function can ignore its signal to continue searching for other distressed persons.

Group Check
Group Check verifies that each member of the group has their transceiver in transmit mode. The function performs a search so that each group member is checked individually at a distance of one meter.
Marking Function
Once a distressed person is located, the marker function can ignore its signal to continue searching for other distressed persons. The deselected signal is deselected for the rest of the search.
Revert-to-transmit
In the event of a secondary avalanche, the transmitter will automatically return to transmit mode. The transition is activated by a timer after a certain period of time during search. By default, the time frame is set to 8 min.
Interference management
Interference management that maximizes device performance during searches disturbed by electromagnetic interference. The technology automatically reduces the width of the search band and ignores all other frequencies to focus solely on the transceiver being tracked. The function can be deactivated by the user.
