A bicycle brake is a brake on a bicycle. The internal gear hubs, or unshifted hubs, usually have an internal braking mechanism, consisting of a drum brake that acts on a shorter step backwards. The externally shifted bikes instead only have freewheels in the hub and brakes that act on the rims, so-called rim brakes or disc brakes that can be mechanical or hydraulic.

If you are lucky, you can find a system that is not normally within your price range and further improve your bike's performance.
