THEIR MISSION
To create happy skiers
Regardless of your ability, technique or preferred playground, there is an XO that is right for you that allows you to put your footprints on the rock in style.

THEIR METHOD
Listen to our customers, watch how they ski, develop our concept and build our skis.
Listen
You will find XO skis in the best specialty stores at your favorite resorts, where the staff understands your needs, tastes and wishes. The feedback we receive from our retail partners is invaluable.

Look at
We spend a lot of time on the snow, all over Europe and in the American West, both skiing and especially watching how others ski. What we notice is that ski styles and techniques are adapted to the local terrain and conditions and therefore are different in, for example, Swiss Valais than they are in Colorado.

Develop
We work continuously to create the most fluid page breaks, buy the best materials and refine our patterns. For us, simplicity is the ultimate refinement. Our goal is performance that is available.

Build
Our skis are handmade in small batches using state-of-the-art technology with the most accurate tolerances during manufacture and finishing. The consistency of our production, high-quality materials and the durability of the finished product form the basis for the XO ski project.

KISS HUG
At XO, we work with classic patterns that are constantly evolving, with a focus on durability when we refine every detail. It's the same with our graphics: an XO should have an appearance that remains identifiable year after year.

The only way to get the XO experience skiing!
BIO
Stéphane Exartier
The adventure began in 2011 when Stéphane Exartier decided to create a new ski brand.

It was not an impulsive decision. He knew all too well the complexity of the market he was entering because he worked for big brands (Dynastar, Lange, Scott) between 2000 and 2011.

But the challenge did not frighten him; eight years on the World Cup circuit had made him nervous. Ranked among the top 20 in the GS, Exartier placed 13th in the GS at the 1992 Albertville Olympics. When he was not competing, Stéphane completed his engineering degree before receiving an MBA at the end of his racing career.

The four qualities that define him as a man, an athlete and an entrepreneur - perseverance, creativity, humility, simplicity - are also fundamental values of the XO Ski project.

During the 2000s, the big brands invested in Freeride, with a view to the youth market with fat skis. To find a ski that is suitable for skiing on slopes, recreational skiers were forced to buy heavy, metal-laden racing skis with large platforms and bindings. Stéphane felt that the majority of skiers preferred to ski on prepared runs but were not competitors and did not need competition equipment. He felt it was the right time to offer something else. Surrounded by friends who were also experts in all important areas, Stéphane launched the XO project with the support of his family.
